Kudenia — Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kudenia (“the app”), operated by Syntopia LTD (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them.
1. The app
Kudenia teaches English vocabulary in short daily sessions. Your progress is stored locally on your device, and the app has no accounts and no servers. Learning works entirely offline; the app’s only network use is Google Play’s billing service, which handles the purchases described in section 3.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms and the app store’s terms.
3. Purchases
The app is free to download and free to play every day. Two optional purchases exist, processed by Google Play and subject to Google Play’s terms. Prices are shown before purchase.
- Pro is a one-time unlock. It removes the daily session cap and raises your free daily hints. Google Play permanently records that you own it, so Pro is restored automatically after a reinstall or on a new phone signed into the same Google account.
- Hint credit packs are consumable. Credits are added to a balance that is spent as you use hints beyond your free daily allowance.
Because both are digital content delivered immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or under Google Play’s refund policy. Refund requests are handled through Google Play — we have no payment or account infrastructure of our own and cannot process refunds directly.
4. Hint credit balances live on your device
Read this before buying credits. Google Play remembers that you bought a pack, but it does not track how many credits you have left — that balance exists only in a file on your device, and that file is deliberately excluded from Android’s backup so a purchase cannot be duplicated onto a second device. The consequence: unspent credits do not transfer. If you lose your phone, reset it, or uninstall the app, unspent credits are lost, and we have no record from which to restore them — keeping one would require the accounts and servers this app deliberately does not have. If you are about to change phone, spend your credits first. By purchasing credits you accept this. Spent credits are never restored.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your own device backups. You agree not to misuse the app, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it in violation of applicable laws.
6. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The vocabulary content is curated with care but we do not warrant it is free of errors.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost progress, lost credits, or data you failed to back up. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
