A catalog of 2,648 products that can grow into a shop.
Jeni 02 is a building-materials trader in Varna. They wanted an online catalog to display their range. We built them a custom site where every product has a price and a unit, and the whole range was imported from Excel. The catalog is built so it can become an online shop if the company decides to.
Thousands of products, each with its own unit.
The catalog includes materials priced per piece, per square metre and per package. The range is 2,648 products in 10 main groups — from structural materials to tools.
The products were grouped and their details corrected in Excel, with photos prepared alongside them. We built a tool to import that information into the site.
A custom theme and two custom tools.
-
01A theme written for this catalogWe built a custom theme for the catalog without a page builder.
-
02Import from ExcelWe wrote a plugin for this project alone: it brought the products in from the company's Excel files, with their groups and photos.
-
03A promotions blockOur own block for the WordPress editor that shows the products on promotion.
-
04Price and unitEvery product shows a price per piece, per square metre or per package.
-
05A base for an online shopThe catalog sits on WooCommerce. If the company decides to sell online, a cart and checkout are added to it without starting again.
What the catalog holds.
Speed before and after the changes.
On 1 October 2026 we delayed the site's scripts until the visitor starts using the page, and turned on compression for the files the site sends.
| Measure | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Home page: speed score (out of 100) | about 61 | about 88 |
| Home page: main content appears after | about 6.4 s | about 3.0 s |
| Promotions page: speed score (out of 100) | about 63 | about 90 |
| Promotions page: main content appears after | about 6.2 s | about 2.9 s |
Measured with Google PageSpeed Insights on a simulated phone on 1 October 2026, with one test before the changes and one after. Scores move a few points between tests, so the numbers are approximate. Test it yourself in PageSpeed Insights →
For real visitors over the 28 days up to 1 October 2026, Google reported the main content appearing in 1.5 seconds, which passes its Core Web Vitals check.
We have maintained the site since launch.
WordPress and its plugins regularly come out in new versions that close security gaps and fix bugs. A site that is not updated becomes vulnerable over time, and parts of it stop working.
So we update the catalog regularly. Before each update we take a backup, and after it we check the site for errors. If an update breaks something, we restore the previous version.
Tell us about your website.
