What happens when a site is not looked after
WordPress, the theme and the plugins come out in new versions every month, and most of them fix security gaps. If nobody installs them, the site is left with known gaps, and the contact form or the cart can stop working without you noticing. The update itself also carries a risk: one incompatible version can take the site down.

05A daily check.The site checks itself every day for pending updates, errors, an outdated backup and free disk space.

06Security.We switch off features the site does not use and that attackers often get in through: XML-RPC, the file editor, public registration.

07A monthly report.We write you a short note in plain language about what we updated and what you need to know.

What we need from you
Admin access to WordPress (a separate user for us) and, if the site is with another host, access to the hosting for the backups. We start with a free check and tell you what is out of date and what we would do first.

Frequently asked questions
Do you look after sites you did not build?
Yes. Most of the sites we look after were started by someone else. We begin with a free check to see what state the site is in.
What happens if an update breaks the site?
Before every update we keep a copy. After the update we check the site, and if something does not work, the previous version comes back automatically. Then we look for the cause and update again when it is safe.
How fast do you reply?
Depending on the plan: within 2 working days (Basic), on the next working day (Business) or on the same working day (Online shop).
What do the hours of work cover?
Small changes and fixes: new text, a new page, swapping photos, setting up a form. Unused hours do not carry over to the next month. Extra work is €45 an hour.
Is there a fixed-term contract?
No. You pay monthly and can cancel at any time with 30 days’ notice. If you pay for a year, you get 2 months free.
Do you also work with sites that are not on WordPress?
Yes. After the free check we tell you exactly what we can take on and at what price.
Is hosting included?
No. The site stays with your host. If you want, we will help you move it.
My site has been hacked. Can you help?
Yes. Cleaning a hacked site starts from €150 and includes finding the problem, cleaning up and closing the entry point the attacker used.
